TELECONFERENCE COURSE
THERAPEUTIC
BREATHWORK SUPERVISION
TELECONFERENCE 12 CE hours
WITH JIM MORNINGSTAR, PH.D.
Begins Fall and Spring
This group supervision is for breathworkers who want professional and peer
feedback on issues relevant to their practice of breathwork. Creating the
proper work setting, ethics and boundary issues, dealing with resistance,
referral, use of substances, homework, support group and training, payment and
completion are just some of the challenges that we will address. Camaraderie
and sharing as well as benefitting from others' experience increases our
confidence and expertise. We benefit our clients as we care for ourselves
personally and professionally.
All participants will have the opportunity to present issues and/or current
challenges in their practice and get feedback from Jim in this 105 minute
phone consultation. Jim will also speak to address topics of importance to
the group. The synergy that emerges is always exciting and enhancing of our
practice.

Jim Morningstar, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who became one of the first
Certified Rebirthers in the 1970's. He incorporated breathwork into his
counseling practice and blended it with other holistic techniques. He began
the Transformations Breathwork Training Program in the early 1980's and has
been training and supervising breathworkers ever since. He is past National
Coordinator and vice president of the International Breathwork Foundation. His
dedication to the professionalism of breathwork led him to founding the
International Breathwork Training Alliance of which he is the co-coordinator

ONSITE COURSES
Practicum in Therapeutic
Breathwork
with Jim
Morningstar, Ph.D.
This course is an in-depth training in rebirthing breathwork as a
practitioner. You will get supervision on your skills as a breathworker, and
develop your confidence and abilities in applying breathwork in the course and
with your clients. You will also learn how to integrate breathwork with other
healing arts. This practicum is a major requirement for Certification through
the Transformations Breathwork Training Program. This course may be taken on a
correspondence basis with audio tapes and written assignments, for those
unable to attend classes.

BREATHWORKER CERTIFICATION TRAINING MODULES SCHEDULE (EVEN-NUMBERED YEARS)
Modules are taught by the Therapeutic Breathwork Training Program staff
and affiliated trainers. Modules 1, 2 and 3 plus one other are required for
Residential Breathworker Training (Levels 1 or 2). All modules are approved
for continuing Education Credit by the National Board of Certified counselors
(NBCC) and the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse counselors (NAADAC).
An Introduction
To Breathwork For Professional Counselors (Introductory Module 1- Dry
Breathwork)

The purpose of this
training is to introduce breathwork skills to professionals in the healing
arts. Breathwork is a conscious
breath monitoring process which is used by health care professionals around
the world to explore, release and integrate mental, emotional and physical
material that maybe impeding a clients ability to:

- Resolve chronic holding patterns in mind, body
and spirit,
- Release emotional material stored within the
cellular memory,
- Unravel relationship patterns that interfere
with a sense of personal well-being,
- Experience self-love in their bodies.

- Identify ineffective breathing patterns,
- Teach healthy breathing skills,
- Use breathwork to address issues of
depression, anxiety and addictions,
- Integrate breathwork into standard clinical
practice,

Valley" near West Bend, WI is nestled in the serene Kettle
Moraine area with a pond, pool, hot tub available for breathwork
sessions and comfortable accommodations.
Application:
Three
hundred dollar deposit must be accompanied with a one page
statement of your goals for the training to which you are applying
and your prior healing arts experience. The balance due TBA. The TBTP Staff

Level II - III 36 CE credits
Advanced Therapeutic Breathwork Training
with Jim
Morningstar, Ph.D. and Cathy Gawlik, M.S.
The purpose of this advanced practicum is to give direct and intensive
supervision to professional breathworkers in a supportive healing setting.
This is an opportunity to reach a new level of mindfulness in one's work as a
healer. The limited size of the group allows for more immediate feedback from
the trainers. Participants will learn to:
- Apply principles of breathwork and advanced energy reading and healing
techniques with a variety of clients
- Integrate and expand present clinical skills into supervised breathwork
sessions
- Practice dry, wet and group breathwork and group leadership
- Heal and clear self while giving highest service to clients
- Become a more confident and competent breathworker.
This practicum is for those who have already done breathwork sessions with
others and who are ready to dramatically enhance their professional skills.
There is an application and selection process with limited enrollment. A
certificate of completion is awarded as well as an appropriate level of
Breathworker Certification.

Apprenticeship

S.E.L.F. GUIDED COURSES

SPY 524:
Practicum in Breathwork (3 credits)
The theory and practice of
breathwork will be presented along with readings and techniques for
integrating the practices into ones life and profession. S.E.L.F Guided
students will listen to the class tapes, engage in the exercises, arrange for
mentoring and write a paper. Completion of the requirements for trainees in
this course leads to certification as a Level I Entry Level Breathworker.

Transformations Breathwork Training Staff:
Jim Morningstar Ph.D., has
been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1973, directed a community mental
health center, and supervised students in a medical college and university
psychology department. He has had extensive training in psychophysical
techniques, notably breathwork and bioenergetics. He was the vice-president
of the International Breathwork Foundation, as well as, their U.S. National
Coordinator from 1996-2001. Jim is currently coordinating the formation of an
International Breathwork Training Alliance. He is the author of three books
and an audio tape in the field of breathwork.

Cathy Gawlik, M.S., is a
psychotherapist, internationally known presenter and breathworker, faculty
member in the School of Spiritual Psychology, seminar and workshop leader and
breathwork trainer who is dedicated to the use of breathwork and its
application to contemporary health.
