On site courses and groups

Admission to on site courses (see On Site Courses and Groups) is open to all. If a course has prerequisites, it is noted in the write-up. If you have questions about the appropriateness of a course or group for you, contact the SSP at or 414.351.5770.

Certificate Program

Admission to the Certificate Program, on site or distance, is by written application. There are no formal educational requirements, however students must demonstrate intellectual capacity and performance, emotional maturity and motivation to learn in a holistic manner. References and an individual interview may be requested. Complete and submit the SSP application form via e-mail or postal service along with a $50 non-refundable and tuition applicable admissions fee.

Academic Degree Programs

Admission to an SSP-Akamai University academic program is in two stages. First, if basic academic eligibility is met for the degree sought (see Academic Degrees), application is made to the SSP. This includes:

1. Application Form (submit via e-mail or postal service)

2. Your official transcript from the institution at which you earned your highest academic degree (send directly from that institution to the SSP).

3. Fifty-dollar non-refundable and tuition applicable admissions fee made out to The School of Spiritual Psychology.

Second, when the SSP portion of your degree curriculum is complete, you will apply for admissions to IUPS and have your SSP credits transferred through our affiliation school agreement. SSP faculty will continue to mentor you as faculty members of Akamai University through your degree completion.

Distance Learning

Tuition for the 35-credit distance Learning Certificate program is $200 per credit plus a $50 interactive web access fee per course. The standard full tuition is:

Other costs include books, tapes and any fees for outside learning modules used for off site Intensives or Externships.

Academic Degree Program

On Site

Degree credits taken through the SSP may be taken on site. Those credits for SSP courses taken on site include the on site course fee plus a $100/credit academic mentoring fee.

Distance Learning

The distance learning degree credits taken through the SSP are $200/credit hour plus a $50 interactive web access fee per course.

Tuition for the 30 distance learning credits (10 courses) taken through the SSP for the SSP- Akamai Masters of Science in Spiritual Psychology Degree is $6,500.

SSP Costs:

$7,800 Total Costs For SSP- Akamai Masters of Science In Spiritual Psychology.

Tuition for other degree programs varies with the number of distance courses taken.

Tuition Payment Plans

Several payment plans are available. Learners are however responsible for all expenses incurred in the implementation of their studies. Fees such as books, tapes, secretarial services, and outside of the curriculum conferences or seminars are additional to the tuition fees. Payment schedules, refund policies, and other financial arrangements are clearly stated in the student contracts.

Tuition Payment

I. Payment in full

Deposit at time of registration of $300 (non-refundable).

Balance due before first week of the program.

II. Extended Payment Plan

Payment in full in three installments. (Plus $15 service fee.)

Deposit at time of registration: $300 (non-refundable).

Balance of participants’ share: Two (2) installments 1/2 tuition 30 days from 1st day of program 1/2 tuition 60 days from 1st day of program.

III. Deferred Payment Plan

Payment in full by end of School year. There is a $50 service fee.

There is an additional service fee of $50 added if balance is not paid in full by the end of the school year (end of May).

Deposit at time of registration: $300 (non-refundable).

Balance of participants’ share: 6-8 monthly installments.

Program Year:

GAP: 1/8th of total due by participant
beginning on October 1^st.

SLP: 1/7th of total due by participant
beginning on November 1^st.

PIP: 1/6th of total due by participant
beginning on December 1^st.
