Breathworker Practice and Community Building

The Transformations Breathwork Training Program is dedicated to assisting breathworkers in building a healthy, thriving breathwork practice.

For breathworkers who are ready to start supporting the development of new breathworkers, we offer a co-credentialing program called the International Practicum in Connected Breathing Technique.

The TBTP is also committed to fostering the growth of spiritual communities. We have the experience and materials to support organizers and leaders ready to take the step of beginning an ongoing, growing spiritual family.

Outlined below are the ways the TBTP will join with qualified breathworkers and organizers/leaders to promote these goals:

Building a Professional Breathworker Practice

        a.  Foundational to building a professional practice is the commitment to one’s own personal breathwork practicing.  Being a living example of the flow of breath is the best advertisement of breathwork’s benefits.  Devising the structure and dynamics of one’s practicing is an ongoing process, just as adjusting the right breath for the right moment is a continuous practice.  See Breathing in Light and Love by Jim Morningstar Ph.D., Transformations Incorporated, 1994.

        b.  Certification Training is an integral step towards a recognized professional practice.  The Transformations Breathwork Training Program is an internationally recognized training center in compliance with the International Breathwork Training Alliance.  Diligent work with four Levels of Certification that the TBTP offers is a statement of commitment to professional training and mentoring as well as continuing education (Breathwork Certification and Academic credit).

        c.  Breathworker Supervision is a required part of training, but also serves to maintain and enhance quality standards in one’s practice. Supervision can also give consultation on effective communication to new clientele.  This dedication inspires confidence in oneself as well as prospective clients.  Supervision can be arranged with the faculty of the TBTP by contacting Transformations (info@tranformationsusa.com).

        d. The Breathwork Seminar Series can be a highly potent adjunct to individual sessions for a breathworker’s clients.  It brings breathworkees together in an educational and spiritually supportive atmosphere, which provides a medium for deepening and extending everyone’s growth process, including the leader.  TBTP offers a Breathwork Seminar Series Outline of six sessions with options for incorporating a group breathwork into the format.  This outline uses the structure of Breathing in Light and Love (Morningstar 1994) as its text and is free to any prospective leader ordering 10 or more texts and includes a 20% discount  (info@tranformationsusa.com).

Mentoring Beginning Breathworkers

Mentoring beginning breathworkers is often the next step in a breathworker’s practice when enough people have experienced breathwork in any location. At that time certain clients begin to want to share the process with others.  Experienced breathworkers may qualify to teach breathworkers with the support of the TBTP through its International Practicum in Connected Breathing Technique.

The IPCBT is a six-month worldwide apprenticeship to the Spirit of Breath co-facilitated by local trainers and Jim Morningstar.  This course covers basic technique and theory from a transformations breathwork perspective.  There is a special series of tapes for this course.  Trainers listen to them with their group of trainees and help them complete the exercises on the taping.  They then add their comments, facilitate a group rebirth or do supervision as suited the needs of their group.  This provides a standard of quality information with the flexibility to tailor the Practicum to particular settings by the leaders.  It also gives the students a very real sense of participation in an international breathwork community, which is highly inspiring.  The impact of this work is furthered by the group’s support of each other’s daily practice in learning from the Spirit of Breath.  Completion of this work is acknowledged with a Level I Certificate.  This reinforces the student’s dedication to breathwork and provides a credential appropriate to their level of training.

The requirements can be completed at the student’s own pace.  Many do not finish by the end of the six months (or the timeframe decided by the local trainer), but continue until completed afterwards (two years maximum).  The local trainer is their supervisor/mentor and professional breathworker, which provides great incentive for students to keep contact and continue their work.  We will provide joint credentialing afterwards as this course conforms to the Transformations Breathwork Certification Program guideline’s for Level I or may be applied to higher levels if the student has completed these requirements.

The IPCBT endeavors to give maximum benefit to all. Students get quality training material, professional mentoring and breathwork, credentialing for their completion and an international support system both psychic and physical. Supervisors/mentors get a field-tested program that has produced high quality results since the early 1980’s, opportunity to add one’s creative teaching input, support for leading and mentoring an international practicum, networking with other trainers worldwide, participation in an established and recognized credentialing program, and an investment in one’s future as a breathwork trainer that is financially sound.  Similar opportunities for further training and credentialing are possible for students and mentors wanting to continue with their students beyond this Level I Practicum.

Spiritual Community Building

Spiritual community building becomes a strong calling to some breathworkers and organizers/leaders.  The TBTP is dedicated to fostering the growth of local spiritual communities.  The School of Spiritual Psychology yearly brings together an ongoing group of spiritual students for the purpose of in depth personal growth and mutual support.  Breathwork has always been an integral part of the spiritual bonding that develops.  Members of many of these communities have continued this support on a lifelong basis.  It is truly one of the greatest gifts to our world as well as a profound source of personal satisfaction to facilitate community building groups.  The Creative Life Series has been the community’s foundational group, which has been renewed and refined yearly since 1980.  This series is available to qualified teachers who wish to create an incubator for intense supported life change.  Contact Transformations (info@tranformationsusa.com). To inquire about bringing the Creative Life Series through audio, video and experiential material to your community.

The CLS opens the door to other School of Spiritual Psychology Programs (Certificate, Academic Credit) for individuals and/or groups in your area as well as fostering your seminar creating and leadership skills.
